We are often asked if we charter the Endeavour for eco-tours. We do not (and we cannot, given the boat's status as a research vessel). But here are charter operations we know personally and recommend. We don't have a financial relationship with any of these outfits. If you have a particularly good or bad experience with any of them, please let us know.

Based in Petersburg, Scott and Julie Hursey run their fast 28-foot landing craft, the Pelican, to La Conte and Baird Glaciers and all over Frederick Sound and Kupreanof and Mitkof Islands, and up into Stephens Passage for perhaps the best whale watching in the world. They do full- and half-day trips. Scott has been running boats in the area since 1973, and both he and Julie are accredited naturalists.
